Armistice Day 2019 - 3
It was a privilege to applaud for those
who stood all those hours
in cold and piercing sun
to respect the commemoration
of those who gave us peace.

When finally the gates were opened
and free movement was possible again
we went to Westminster Cathedral.
The sight of all those crosses
was overwhelming!

Keith Palmer,
we won't forget him!
Just a break in the program of the day
to allow Lars to take his photos.
We made some too.

After this we went to the Maple Leaf to join our friends.
We had such a great afternoon!
Such a pity it'll take another year
to see them again.
But JJ and Paul will be see sooner.
We were called by the busdriver,
because they were unsure about the time of departure.
This way we were granted some extra time.
I wanted to buy a pie,
but saw none.
We didn't dare to order dinner,
so decided for food on the boat.
It was nice to take the ferry on our way back,
because we could walk around,
and Lars could sit and have some sleep.
Sit, because all the couches were in use.
What kind of animal has been killed for this?
.
.
Fish and chips?
More fatty fish and old dried out chips.
At leasts they didn't microwave the peas.
A messy photo on purpose.
That's how we felt.
.
Oh... the boat moves!!
LOL!
Arrived home two hours late.
But we've been there!!!
We've seen our friends and were able to spend time with them!!
