My small camera is not very good,
but it was nice to give an impression
of the huge and important event
of the 75 anniversary of Operation Market Garden.
I could only show the tiny bit of world
where I was at that moment in time.
But being with nice people
and meeting so many others,
was a real privilege.
Until next year!!

Prepared for a visit to the war cemetery in Oosterbeek.

A feather as s special greeting,
and acorns as a symbol of life.

The car in the background was disturbing.

New life develops
where former life rests.
It's the silence that whispers
the flowers that light up in the sun.

We will remember those
who gave us our freedom,
who gave us their lives.

We will remember them.

Then we went to the restaurant,
saw Betty and Ian again.
What a pleasant surprise!!

And the three of us enjoyed a good meal.

Closing my bags.

Lars received two very nice beers,
as a special thank you.

No need to drive to put equipment and stuff away,
we could use a container!

.

Lars also had a present to give.

.

And then the men came
breaking up the large tent.

.

The last tent,
English territory... ;)

Locking up the first door.

Last check
and locking up the last door.

.

The field where the parachutists and gliders landed.
Wolfheze,
where the wind still holds the history alive.

Thank you all!
I said: ALL!!!!
