The Island 44-45, 2018

The Island 44-45 was held from 7 to 13 october 2018.

We participated with a dropping and

 our own corner at the camp.

After Market Garden this area,

called The Betuwe, was a warzone with people

moving elsewhere, and the 101th Airborne

losing hundreds of men during the

198 days it took to give the area some freedom.

When people returned from evacuation,

they found a destroyed area.

Th Island is an event to commemorate this time,

and to explain to schoolchildren and others 

what happened.
